A licence is a copyright permission to reuse articles for variety of purposes, as provided by the publisher, author, photographer or illustrator.
The Reprint and Licensing Centre has permission from its contracted publishers to provide hard copy reprints, however, other formats are likely to require a licence for reusing published articles.
These include the following:
- Placing an electronic version of an article on a website, either as a formatted PDF, or as text only
- Sending out an electronic version of an article, either as a formatted PDF, or as text only
- Using all or part of an article in a format designed by you. For example - sales or marketing material, annual report, presentation, advert, CD-ROM or book
If you are in any doubt about the potential usage of a previously published article, please contact us. We will make sure you obtain the correct licence.
