Q: What is a reprint?

A: A reprint is a high-quality printed reproduction of a previously published article that may have been written about you, your company, its products and services or employees. All reprints are professionally produced using a formatted publication template, however, we can provide a bespoke service on request, tailored to your requirements.

Q: How can they be used?

A: Unlike most marketing materials, a reprint is an impartial third party endorsement of your company, its products or its services. Reprints can be used in direct mail campaigns or as promotional items at trade shows or conferences. Alternatively, they can be used as part of a press pack, in sales presentations or as investor relation's material.

Q: How long does it take to produce a reprint?

A: Our standard turnaround time is 10 working days from the time your order is placed until it dispatched to you. We can offer a high speed service should you require it, for an additional charge.

Q: What about copyright issues relating to authors and photographers?

A: We will handle all the necessary permissions and provide you with a reprint that can be used in the way you want to use it, whatever your marketing objectives.

Q: What are my colour options for a reprint?

A: 4 colour reprints are produced using the standard four-colour process inks. If your article was originally published in colour, your reprints will be identical to the original article, however, they can also be converted to black and white reprints.

2 colour reprints are produced using black ink plus one standard Pantone colour. This is usually added when you want to highlight a specific section of the article or if you want to match the colour to a company logo.

Black & white reprints are produced using black ink only. If your article was originally published in black and white they can also be converted into colour reprints, if the appropriate materials are available.

Q: What are my layout options for a reprint?

A: There are a number of layout options, however, the most common format is US letter (8.5"x11") or UK A4 (297x210mm). These are finished sizes, but both of these can be multiple pages depending on the size of the article. Ideally the reprint is formatted so that it retains the identity of the original article as far as possible. If your article was tabloid or broadsheet page size you may have the option to print in UK A3 or A2, or US legal formats.

Q: Can I see a proof of my reprint before it is printed?

A: Yes, once our designers have formatted the reprint from the original article a pdf proof will be sent to you for your approval. On reviewing, if there are any amendments to be made, we will carry out the necessary changes and resend you a final proof for your approval. Once you have given us written confirmation it will then be sent for printing.

Q: Can I make changes to the layout?

A: Yes, we can make changes to the layout of the article. We will reformat text and photos to suit the layout at your request, however, due to copyright laws we cannot change or delete any text within the article without consent of the author or publisher.

Q: How much do reprints cost?

A: Our prices vary depending on size, colour and quantity you require. Call one of our team or email your specifications for a quote within 24 hours.

Q: What is an Eprint?

A: An Eprint is a reprint in electronic, or web-based, format. It is identical to a hard copy reprint but it can be placed on your company website so that your positive press can be shared with a much wider audience. Typically the Eprint will be provided to you in a pdf format.
